The great and unique Matuto

Stay tuned for some late-breaking Spring action! Will there be our semi-annual contra-like dance? (It’s based on a contra dance; we’re just not sure how to do it right, but it’s more fun this way…) Will it be an emerging-artist rent party? Who knows!!

But until that becomes a concrete reality, plan on the fall, where John Jorgenson’s snow date is finally together (October 19) and Matuto is coming to town on November 9. And please read our “Ramblings” blog for insights into what’s going on with the acoustic string music world!

Other confirmed dates include Nuala Kennedy and her “big band”, straight from Ireland, and the always-perfect Alasdair Fraser and Natalie Haas for a return visit. Maybe we’ll talk them into a workshop this time.

Scary Good Music. Free Workshops. Picking and fiddling club. Kids mandolin orchestra. That’s what we do. Great artists from around the world come to perform in a great, intimate atmosphere where the sound is great, the ambiance is tremendous, and the free ice cream after every show makes it a party every time. Our artists also give frequent workshops, and we also have our own acoustic music club, the Skunk Misery Ramblers. So don’t wait, just come on over to our next show, club session, or workshop.
